The Tropical Inn has one of the most beautiful tropical gardens of any Key West guesthouse, featuring a fabulous freeform waterfall pool and separate, inviting spa. Its expansive size assures all guests uncrowded space for relaxation.

PARKING - Limited parking in our offstreet lot (first come, first served; sorry, we cannot accommodate oversize vehicles), $15 per day; overflow parking on safe, unmetered streets within a half-block of the inn, or in a public lot directly across Duval Street from the inn at $20/day.

ROOM APPOINTMENTS - A stylish blend of antiques, quality contemporary pieces, and distinctive imports imparting an air of comfortable sophistication. All feature luxuriously indulgent linens and spa-quality bath amenities.

All rooms have private bath, minifridge, AC and ceiling fan, cable TV, and telephone. There is no charge for local and "800" number calls and wifi internet access. For your convenience, there's a microwave oven on the back porch.

Many rooms have a private outdoor area. The Garden Cottage Suites are our most luxurious and romantic, featuring spas in their private patio gardens.

BREAKFAST - A bountiful expanded continental breakfast is served each morning on the back porch. Enjoy it poolside or take a tray to your room, the upstairs front porch, or your private porch, deck, or patio.

HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURE - The Tropical Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The main house is classic vernacular style found in the Caribbean Islands and along the east coast of the United States, where seafaring owners often constructed them using materials and building techniques similar to those used in shipbuilding.

The three garden cottages are typical "Conch houses", originally built to house workers in the early city's cigar-making industries. They have been renovated for your comfort from seaside-cozy to exotically dramatic.
